How to use the Silent Knight.
Follow these four steps to achieve a fine powder without damaging the device or contaminating the medication.
Prep the Pouch
Place the tablet(s) inside a genuine Silent Knight Pouch. Never use standard ziplock bags or alternative containers — they can tear and cause spills.
Break
Lift the handle, slide the pouch between the crusher plates so it touches the bottom, and press the handle firmly to break the pill.
Grind
Lift the handle slightly, pull the pouch upward to the middle of the plates, and press down repeatedly to grind the broken pieces into a fine powder.
Mix
Carefully remove the pouch, open it, and mix the powdered medication with a soft food like applesauce, or dissolve it in water for administration.

Made entirely of non-rusting materials, the Silent Knight can be wiped down regularly with a damp cloth or a facility-approved disinfectant wipe. For a more thorough clean, follow these steps from the official IFU.
Remove the base screws
Turn the crusher over so the blue base faces up. With a Phillips head screwdriver, remove each of the five screws and keep them together — the centre screw above the label is unique to that location.
Lift off the top cover
Turn the crusher upright, holding both the blue base and the top cover in place. Lift the blue handle and lift the top cover off over the handle.
Wipe clean
Using a damp cloth with normal detergent and water, wipe the crusher clean, then wipe down with a dry cloth. A facility-approved disinfectant wipe may also be used when indicated.
Reassemble & tighten
Place the top tray back onto the base by guiding it over the blue handle. Turn the crusher base-up and tighten each screw clockwise until secure.
When possible, have a facility engineer or authorised personnel remove the top for cleaning. Any further disassembly beyond these steps will void the lifetime warranty.
