Medical & Liability Disclaimer
Last updated 22 June 2026
Do not crush: not all medications are suitable for crushing. Always check with a qualified pharmacist, physician, or other medical practitioner before crushing or altering any tablet or capsule, and review the laws, regulations, and clinical guidelines that apply in your own country before use.
1. No medical advice
The content on this website is provided for general information only and is not medical, pharmaceutical, or professional advice. It is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional. Always seek the advice of a pharmacist, physician, or other qualified practitioner regarding any medication and its preparation. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read here.
2. Suitability for crushing
Some medications must not be crushed, split, or altered — including many modified-release, enteric-coated, cytotoxic, hazardous, and certain other formulations. Crushing such medications can cause harm, alter dosing, or expose handlers to hazardous substances. It is the responsibility of the user and their healthcare provider to confirm whether a specific medication may be crushed and to follow appropriate handling precautions.
Laws, regulations, and clinical guidelines on crushing and altering medication — including hazardous-drug handling requirements — differ from country to country. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the legal and regulatory guidelines that apply in your own country or jurisdiction before crushing, altering, or administering any medication.
